Aurige is the only company in France which offers a complete panel of trades dedicated to heritage restoration. In each trade, the best craftspeople are selected for their speciality. Whether they are stone masons, carpenters, actual builders, skilled metalworkers, painters, sculptors, cabinet-makers, fresco painters, staff makers, ornamentists, etc... they all have both perfect technical knowledge and artistic flair. Our ambition is to offer the most complete range of mastercrafts to our clients and assist them in their projects, whether for renovations or creations.

We take great pride in the network we have put together - craftspeople who know how to combine precise handiwork, quality and sensitivity to art.

Transmission

Aurige, striving to pass down skills to the young apprentices and engineers getting ready to take up the torch, are offering training sessions to their collaborators. The fields of expertise may vary and so may the career paths of our artisans and their number of years in the trade, but they nonetheless form a tight-knit group moved by a strong sense of values.

Geographical closeness is an advantage to make each project become real - whether it may have sprung up as a mere idea or a dream.

Aurige cultivate a close relationship with each client, thanks to the ongoing dialogue maintained throughout the project. The group also possesses local branches throughout the country, guaranteeing this form of proximity. This closeness is materialised in accordance with the legacy we owe the founders of Aurige, and their values.

80 years of experience

1944 Henry Ménard and Maurice Lefèvre met and founded the company Lefèvre, with the objective of meeting the needs of reconstruction and restoration of the architectural heritage of France. Two trades are mostly needed then: Stone-cutting and Masonry.

Transmission

2017 M. Lefèvre, now called Aurige, has become the French leader for the restoration of listed monuments. Our artisans evolve today as part of a financially solid group held by family shareholders and run by Marc-Henry, who represents the family's third generation. Between the late 1990's and early 2000's, he would add another new dimension to the company by propelling it to the position of leader in heritage restoration in France, and by doubling its workforce.
